September 17 2011 SCREEN SCENE and ORACLE, Video Exhibition of new work by Mani Mazinani Two new video works will be premiered and on view at Vtape in the fall of 2011. We begin our focus on the work of Mani Mazinani with "Screen Scene", his mesmerizing visual experiment with light and sound. "Screen Scene" yields a rich dialogue between the physical properties of film, digital technologies and chance. At once elegantly simple and intricately textured, Mazinani applies the improvisational techniques of a musician (which he is also) to this experiment in visual phenomena. Screen Scene is a On Saturday the 17th of September between 2pm and 5pm, "Screen Scene" will premiere. Mani Mazinani will give a talk at 3pm. "Oracle" is a collaboartion combining the video construction of Mani mazinani with the musical composition of Udo Kasemets. On Saturday the 1st of October between 2pm and 5pm, "Oracle" will premiere and feature a conversation between Mani Mazinani and Udo Kasemets at 3pm. The exhibition runs from September 17th to October 14th.
